Medical Astrology

24 October 2008

CNM, 41 Riding House Street, London W1W 7BE
Cost £50

with Cornelis van Dalen

A fascinating look at the traditional use of astrology in medicine and what one can revive of it today. A practical workshop. To see the universe from its (spiritual) origins: from whence we came and thus return.
‘The more man is removed from Nature, the more problems are created’.

The four parts of the lecture:
1. Introducing Man as a cosmic being: macrocosm and microcosm. The origin of Admon Kadmon; man as an expression of the rhythm of the universe. Does the sun revolve around the earth and other anomalies? Ptolemy versus Copernicus and other incommodious thoughts.
2. The Role of the fixed and moving stars in life: embryology and incarnation –excarnation; the four ages of man (first four seven-year cycles influences: sun, moon, planets, constellations). How the stars live in the blood.
3. Practical Application of medical astrology for the holistic practitioner: organs, planets and plants; Paracelsus, Culpepper, Papus et al; salts and zodiac; solar, lunar, planetary & zodiacal influences in disease. Always first ask the question what influence has the weather, seasons, etc in the patient’s complaint or epidemic for it is astrology in action.
4. The Astrology Chart: the construction of the astrology chart and its interpretation of an individual’s life, disease and death; what this can reveal to the astrologically adept physician. The decumbiture chart is one cast at the time of the person taking ill or for diagnosis. [This section presented by the astrologer Agostino Dominici].
