Indian Head Massage
About the Course
What is Indian Head Massage?
The Indian Head massage technique was brought to the UK by Narendra Mehta. Blind from the age of one, Narendra grew up in India where head massage was an integral part of his life. He came to England in the 1970s to train as a physical therapist and in 1978 returned to India to study the benefits and practice of champissage, extending it to include neck, shoulders, scalp and face. On his return to England, he developed a sequence of movements called Indian Head Massage.
Mr Mehta was recently honoured with an MBE for his charity work with the visually impaired.
Indian Massage is a wonderful tool to help relieve tension, pain, and headaches.
It can increase circulation to the brain and improve hair and scalp conditions.
A wonderful therapy in its own right or as a highly beneficial tool for
existing healthcare practitioners.
