Students create herbal garden at CNM London

Students from our Year 1 Herbal Class at CNM London recently collaborated to create a herbal garden at our central London college.  Ed Berger, who has been part of the Herbal Medicine lecturing team at CNM for 15 years says “Volunteers dug over and prepared the ground with organic soil, and planted over 25 different varieties of health-giving herbs.  The garden will provide a valuable hands-on teaching-aid for identification and botanical study.  It will also bring a wonderful aroma of herbs such as lavender, rosemary and lemon balm, into the college building in summer, and will attract butterflies.

“Thanks go to ALL the students and lecturers who enthusiastically gave their time and energy, or  who donated plants.  Extra thanks must go to Leyla El Moudden of the ANP (Association of Naturopathic Practitioners) for facilitating the project; to sisters Devina and Leena Vekaria for their planning and enthusiasm; and to Claudio Conde for his hard labour and plant donations.”
